Upon Waking
don't get lost before you get started
These times deserve so many versions of ourselves.
Spinning multiple plates at different levels of height, balance and speed.
Lost in the action of playing a vast array of steel drums as you strive to keep the beat going as it changes through ever changing rhythms.
Your hips knowingly moving to the sound as you allow yourself to connect and flow to the music created. Slowly, tentatively at first, then with more confidence and freedom of body. Stirring the pot of creation one strike of the drum at a time.
That is what most days are feeling like right now.
To not get lost in a discordant beat you must move, shake, spin, focus and let go in order to reach through the murky mists that surround us.
Find the source, the delicately balanced centre and move from there.
What comes through mostly clearly is that need for simplicity, for purity of thought and being, kindness, a want for all life to thrive and work together in perfect union.
A formation of one body, working perfectly in unison together, each part as important as the next, knowing that in communion all will be well and right.
If only we would collapse into each other and be held, just held there until the storm passes by.
There is only one song to be sung. A song that has no words, only a sense of gentleness and strength and of knowing the next movement is that of surrender to the pulse of life-force.
Wisdom and guidance is quietly and gently held there. Just waiting.
We live in service to that simple truth, the preservation and cultivation of life. How we are of service to that one voice that rings true throughout the universe is interpreted through loving kindness and expressed through compassionate, conscious action.
We let the music and spinning plates centre and balance us deeply into the movement and moment so that we may see and feel more clearly.
Action and speech is considered and held in such compassion, for all have to wake every day to the noise and clamour of these times and seek their own knowings.
Plates spinning, drums sounding and heart clamouring for connection and the peace of true communion.
Just hold the space until we all get there, hold the door open for us all to get through.
The rhythm and song hold and carry us through to where we need to be and it is right here, right now, even when it feels so hard.
